When you try to create a block swapper, it does not work until you give it a bock update.

Place two pistons facing each other 3 blocks away from each other. Then place two blocks next to each other in two of the three-block space between the piston. If you power one of the pistons, and then power the other, the second piston will not fire until you give it a block update.
