Crash resulting in Blue Screen of Death

On launching Minecraft 1.16; after already had played for a few hours, I launched the game this morning, and I clicked the world list menu, and the game proceeded to lock up, just as the game began to close to through up a crash report, my computer threw up the Blue Screen of Death. After rebooting, and trying again, all went smoothly till I save and exited a world, where the game crashed again, and just like before, Blue Screen of Death. This time, my Hard drive is kapput.
I don't think the game is to blame for the crash of my Laptop, I do think however, it could not handle the ctashes. I am reporting this just incase there is a problem, or if it was just my Laptop.
