horse dies when falling on a lead onto a lilly pad in water

i had a horse,flew up with it on a lead landed it on a lilly pad that was mostly underwater and it died!!!!  

 

 

steps to reproduce: spawn a horse, lead it while flying pretty high,land it on a lilly pad in water,  the horse dies
