After we bought Minecraft we can not find it on our device

We are on Chromebook. We were told if we download Linux we could get the Minecraft app. We downloaded Linux, then purchased Minecraft for $26.99. There is no icon in our apps, and I cannot access it on this computer. When we tried to get into it online it asked if we want to purchase it. Please help us to either get the app, or refund or money.
