block destruction bug

When i destroy a block it doesn't disappear like it should i have to destroy is several more time for it to then disappear without dropping any item and if i came back two to three minutes later the item would be on the floor as if it was always there. i have had this issue before but i thought it was just a thing on the server i was playing on; Minecraft Online

please save some things for the final release of the nether update or everyone will know all the features and won't be as exited because they pretty much already have the update.
