i tried to milk a cow and the bucket just disappeared.

i cant milk cows. i tried to milk one and the bucket in my hand just disappeared. i tried closing the game and re-joining, but the bucket was still gone. i can give myself a bucket with milk in it using commands, i just cant milk the cow
