Killing the Ender Dragon did not spawn an Outer End Portal

Mainly reporting because I couldn't find the issue here.  Not much more to say.  No other issues presented.  I haven't tried respawning the dragon to see if killing it again would correctly spawn an outer end portal yet.  I can provide additional information if need be, but I'm assuming it's a pre-release bug type deal.
