After 60000 ticks on the /effect time, the effect becomes infinite

I was playing Minecraft and testing (too late) the /effect command.
I was in a command block and i wrote "/effect @p 1 60000 127"
I saw that became infinite...
Maybe related to ~~MC-7527~~...
