Minecraft program doesn't show me the connection and server information!

I can't see the server information as well as the connection on the Minecraft program but I can see it on the web/browser game. It used to work and I have updated everything. Servers also don't work on my computer since it says failed to bind port so I don't know if that's a factor. I'd really like to have a solution, any info. will greatly be appreciated.
