Hostile wolves do not look angry when in vicinity of tamed wolves

I was in survival throwing a snowball at a wolf in singleplayer survival, I found a provoked wolf without the red eyes. When a provoked wolf died, the others would look like they were neutral but still pursue the player. However, it is still tameable and once it's tamed it won't pursue the player
