Holding a bow while in a villager's UI draws the bow back.

I was trying to get my farmer villager to master while holding my bow. Apparently, the bow draws back when I click on the villager. I tried it with different villagers, but it only happened with my carrot-trading villager. I also tried standing further back from villager, but it made no difference.
