Village chests not spawning any loot in Hardcore mode

In Hardcore mode, I have not been able to obtain any loot from any village chests, from savannah villages to desert villages and even plains villages. This has been a consistent feature for me since the newest snapshot occurred, and I was curious to know if this was a feature or a bug, Thanks!
