FPS now lower than previous updates

After switching from 20w21a to 20w22a, my frame rate  has dropped significantly.  I used to get 100+ fps, now I can barely achieve 30. 

I even loaded into a superflat world to test this and my game averages at about 15-20 fps.

 

My pc isn't the best but there's definitely a problem if it used to run over 100 fps just yesterday.
