Latest snapshot almost killed my Mac!

Opened several worlds in the new snapshot, and the lag was crazy! Normally they run smooth! And even after I closed the game my iMac was struggling for it's life! I then rebooted and opened a game in the previous snapshot, and everything was fine again.
