First person view of hand/item disappears after jumping off of boat at full speed.

I was rowing at full speed and jumped off my boat onto land to see that both my primary hand and off-hand are no longer visible, even if they are holding items. I can break blocks with respective tools, but cannot use any item or block.

What I expected to happen was...:

When I jump from a boat directly onto land, I'd have full use of either of my hands

What actually happened was...:

I was no longer able to see (in first-person perspective) or use any of my hands/items besides breaking blocks

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Get in a boat in the water
2. Row at full speed towards land
3. Press Shift (dismount) after immediately coming in contact with
4. Note that this occur occasionally and may need to be repeated to get the buggy result
