Boat bugs character till reload

When using a boat and drift over the water and dismount at the same time, your character will become unusable until reload (does trigger in singleplayer aswell in LAN/multiplayer

What I expected to happen was...:
Normally working as usual

What actually happened was...:
hands and tools remain blank and have to reload the world, also mounting, opening doors, using blocks etc is not possible during this.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter a boat
2. drift over water
3. dismount at the same time

4. profit
