Client Crashes on Taiga Village Generation

A server my friends and I have been playing on has had two separate crashes in the past few days. Upon further inspection, both crashes happened in the same circumstances: a player generating a Taiga village specifically crashes the client immediately. After the first crash, we regenerated the world, played the new one for a few days, only for a member to find another Taiga village, and the server to crash. Noticeably, Taiga biomes themselves do not cause crashes, and spruce trees can be seen in the distance without issue. It's only on village generation that the crashes occur.
