Dragon egg can teleport over end portal, failing in, and dissapearing

after i beat the ender dragon i tried to get the egg but it teleported over the portal and fell in i searched by my spawn point and basically everywhere but its missing its gone from the end as well making the achievement 'the next generation' impossible
