Numbers showing how many items shows threw item description

So when I hover my mouse over an item in my inventory and it shows you things like the attack damage and speed and enchantments, and lets say you have 6 sticks next to an item, the 6 next to the sticks still shows even though the item desc is supposed to hide it.
