Flying bees activate pressure plates on the floor

In my single player survival-world, I've created an enclosed apiary in which the bees often fly at head-height for Steve (i.e. 2nd air block from the ground).  I've noticed that bees flying at this height will activate both stone and heavy-weighted pressure plates.

Note that this is actually in version 20w20b with fabric-loader-0.8.3+build.196-20w20b. 

What I expect to happen

Flying creatures should not activate pressure plates.
