Banner color fading away when applied to shield

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it's extremely annoying. There doesn't seem to be a way to copy a banner to a shield verbatim, which causes the blue to just not show up at all (pic related).

If this is intended, can you at least add a feature to copy to shield without fading?
