Nether wood doesn't work as furnace fuel

Wood in the nether such as Crimson stems Dont work as furnace fuel, However can be made into a campfire.

 

++I made a furnace in the nether, and attempted to put Crimson Stems and Crimson Planks, **Neither one of them would go into the fuel slot when i clicked.
