Defeated Ender Dragon in Snapshot 20w20b no End gateway spawn

Survival Single Player server. Summoned and defeated ender dragon in one sitting. At the end no end gateway appeared. Searched entire island. Possible 20w20b glitch in which it doesn't spawn? Server is not open to lan, doesn't allow cheats, all commands and interface options left in natural state.
