/clear clears any and all items placed in player crafting grid even when specifying which item to delete

As the title describes, /clear deletes all items placed in the player's inventory crafting grid, even when the clear command specifies a different item.

 

How to recreate: 

1. Make a repeating command block with the following command: "/clear @a sunflower 1"
2. Attempt to place a stone block in your crafting grid in survival mode. It will disappear
