You cannot get the "Not Quite Nine Lives" achievement with a dispenser.

When I completely filled the respawn anchor for the first time in one of my testing worlds with a dispenser, I did not get an achievement. Then, I proceeded to manually fill up a different respawn anchor, and I got the achievement.
