Bottom of Nylium texture looks different than surrounding sides (with Programmer Art)

If you turn on "Programmer Art" and take a look at Nylium, you'll notice that all sides blend in with each other except for the bottom texture, which is completely different. I expected to see the newer netherrack texture on the bottom, but the old one pops up instead, which looks extremely weird (as shown in the picture below).
