Slabs placed in front of painting cause the painting to break

Slabs placed in front of paintings seem to break at random 

This seems to apply to almost all paintings 

Any slab placed at the level of the painting (of any size) causes the painting to break

I have no idea if this is an intended feature, but I think it is a bug
