Redstone on a side of a block stays if top redstone is destroyed by a moving block

If you put a redstone wire, and a solid block next to it, and put another redstone wire onto the block, and activate the first redstone wire with any power source, and then destroy the redstone on the block with a moving block, the redstone on the side will not get destroyed.
