the command /particle doesn't work very well

The command /particle doesn't work very well.

What I expected to happen was:
To see the particles moving from point A to point B.

Here's what happened:
No particles appeared, while I had all the activated particles.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. For exemple, type in a command block the command: /particle minecraft:end_rod ~ ~1 ~ ~1 ~ ~ 2 2 force @a
2. press "done" and the button.
3. Nothing happens
