2x2 Trees do not grow next to each other

2x2 trees do not grow when placed next to each other.

How to reproduce:

1. Start a new world
2. Place any 2x2 growable saplings in the pattern below
3. Bonemeal the tree

Result:

One tree grows, the rest don't grow no matter how much bonemeal is used
