Chests not always closing after being opened

On our Survival Multiplayer running 1.4.3, when you open a chest and close it again, it plays the closing sound, but the chest itself doesn't always close.

Sometimes, if you go back into the chest and then exit it, the lid will close, othertimes it will not.
