Modified attributes on mobs and players instantly reset to default attribute values

I just installed 20w18a then used my new favorite command. /attribute. in 20w18a, i used this command (/attribute @s minecraft:generic.movement_speed base set 10). and i only got that speed for a millisecond. i kept using that command and still only getting that speed for only millisecond
