I minimize my game and it decides to close instead (NEW LAUNCHER)

Remember this only closes with the new launcher. I open MinecraftDev and then I play Minecraft. I minimize my game and it just closes instead for some reason. I tried keeping the launcher open and minimizing the game but it still closes.
