Snow golem does not make any snow trail anymore wherever they go

So, snow golems are supposed to make a snow trail wherever they go. When I spawned one in (using 2 snowblocks and a pumkin) the snow golem does NOT leave any snow platform on the block the traveled over. I believe this is a bug, not too sure.
