Glowing Effects Reduce a lot of FPS

What I expected to happen was...:
Have a zombie glow

What actually happened was...:
The zombie glowed but there was a lot of lag

Steps to Reproduce:
1. spawn in a zombie
2. type /effect give @e[type=zombie] glowing 100 0 true
3. the zombie glows but there is a lot of lag
