Maps (item, not worldsave) look corrupted

Maps when viewed as handheld or placed in an itemframe are corrupted - with repeating lines of stone colour obscuring the picture. [Image here|https://imgur.com/a/FEd2RuE]. These lines do not resemble any inworld features but only appear on the maps.
