Shift-clicking furnace right as an item finished smelting broken

When shift-right clicking the smelted item in a furnace right as an item finished smelting, there is a chance that the item appears to have not been smelted and stays as its original form. After closing the furnace interaction menu or attempting to pick up the original item, the smelted item appears in your inventory.
