Inventory can’t be opened while riding an untamed animal

You are unable to open your inventory while riding an untamed animal like horse, donkey, mule or llama.
How to reproduce:
1. Spawn a horse
2. Press E

What I expected: You will open your inventory when pressing E.
What actually happened: Nothing happened when pressing E
