Typing certain letters such as "a" reset the text

When you open the in-game chat to input commands, or just regular chat, specific letters like "a" will reset the command or sentence, to be clear after the letter "a" is typed in in-game chat it completely erases every letter before it. I haven't noticed any other letter with the same problem.
