Cannot Change Resource Pack

When I Downloaded and converted the Faithfull 32x32 pack, and put it into .minecraft/resourcepacks, it shows up fine on the resource pack screen but when i click on the resourcepack, nothing happens. The screen doesn't even freeze like it normally does when switching a texturepack
