Grammar Issue in Statistics

In Statistics, one of the entries is "Distance Swum." The word swum is the past participle of swim. The phrase Distance Swum doesn't have a helping verb before the verb, and therefore the verb should be in the regular past tense, not the past participle tense. It should be "Distance Swam."
