Buckets cannot be emptied into a source block, but still produce a sound when trying

The bug

Water and lava buckets can no longer be emptied by looking at a water or lava source block. However, when trying to do that, a sound still plays.

To reproduce

1. Get a water bucket
2. Switch into Survival mode
3. Look at a water source block
4. Use the bucket
   → The bucket doesn't get emptied, but a sound gets played
