Big 2x2 spruce trees do not want to grow sometimes if planted by player.

Big 2x2 spruce trees do not want to grow sometimes if planted by player. Speeding up tickspeed doesnt do anything. tested in creative on 1.15.2 and everything worked but in 1.16 snapshots the trees dont grow seemingly if the player updates a block around it (not sure if thats the problem but planting a tree and placing some blocks and destroying them next to it stopped the growth. Please fix.
