Item Pickup Animation is missing

When the item pickup animation is playing, the item entity disappears, leaving only its shadow.

The screenshot shows the item being picked up (it's partially animated into my inventory slot at the bottom), but the entity is still playing the pickup animation in-world, and it's invisible.

This was introduced in 20w17a, but I didn't report it
