Boats can't be controlled with the key board

I thought the boat would slow down when i pressed backwards and turn when i pressed left and right.

When I press left, right and backwards the boat doesn't respond, only the forward key works, this means you can't slow the boat down or easily turn it to avoid crashing and breaking it.

Place a boat in a large area and try using the different arrow keys to move it.
