Striders float on lead

Striders float when put on leads. When taken off, they continue floating. The only way I have been able to fix it is either by going in creative and pulling them down into lava, or by riding them onto ground and pouring a lava bucket to push them back in. Sometimes when pulling them back down into the lava, they float right back up.
