high grass shows "missing texture" when it gets signal from a level-3-repeater

What I expected to happen was...:
I didn't expect something would happen.

What actually happened was...:
The high Grass, that got a signal from the level-3-repeater, showed me "missing texture".

Steps to Reproduce:
1. redstone torch on the ground
2. redstone cables from the torch to high grass
3. redstone repeater between the cables and the high grass
4. set repeater to level 3
