I bought Minecraft Java version on mac to play with my son on his ipad

I bought Minecraft just to play with my son using his ipad.  My main computer is a mac, so I thought the mac version would work.  So I bought that unknowning that it will not work with the ipad version.  I do have a windows machine as well.  I would like to transfer my Minecraft Java version for Mac to the Windows 10 version please.
