cobblestone and brick texture incorrect game crash when corrected

What I expected to happen was...:
the cobblestone and the stonebricks in the texturepack that i have were mixed up so i changed them with winrar

What actually happened was...:
i clicked the texture pack to open it on launch screen and it crashed

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
2. change cobble stone and stonebrick the right way round
3. try launching the texturepack
