Skins are swapping

In my Minecraft world, when I’m playing with my friend over Xbox live we will switch skins, so on my screen I will see her in hers and me also in hers and on her screen she sees both of us in my skin. This issue has been happening for about a month now and we have reloaded Multiple times.
